Anand Kabra’s raison d’etre is his ability to tell a story through vivid colours, vibrant motifs and elegant embellishment. ‘Kumari’, Anand Kabra’s Spring-Summer 2010 collection is the story of duality, the co-existence of two sides when only one is acknowledged and even revered. 'Kumari' is the 'tainted' human that pseudo morality shuns. She is the goddess that is not idolized. She is the deity that is not adored. She is the façade, the calm. She is the hidden, the tempest.
